For longest while I had used this domain for a basic landing page which included a blurb about my professional skills and affiliations, plus feeds to my Twitter and Instagram accounts. As with most personal web development entities this landing page was given the least priority – ceding my attention to client work and learning new skills. I was recently prompted to make some edits to the site after migrating servers so here we are – I gave it a quick upgrade.
The original site was built with PHP and was a single file on my server. I wanted something super low-key – set it and forget it. Well, that was four years ago. In the meantime I have come across a delightful theme for WordPress: GeneratePress. It promises blazing fast speed, streamlined backend management, works nicely with plugins, and it is updated regularly (well maintained platform, FTW!).
